The Science of Advantia Coatings – Reduces your development time
In the development of Advantia coatings, ISP used statistical design of experiments (D.o.E) approach to evaluate the interactive effects of key film-coating ingredients. ISP uses the results of the D.o.E evaluation to create a specific data base (design space) for each type of polymer system being considered. ISP can apply the data base to create specific coating formulations for each coating application saving time consuming and costly trial and error efforts to solve coating problems.

Advancing the science of coatings – Advantia Preferred HS coatings
In addition to offering Advantia Prime coatings based on conventional cellulosic polymers, ISP is developing innovative coatings based on its experience as a leading polymer research company.
The ISP technical team has core strengths in design and development of novel functional systems
based on molecular structure-property relationships and a leader in polymer research.
Advantia Preferred HS coatings give you high quality coatings in record time. The product of ISP’s extensive experience as a leader in polymer research, Advantia Preferred HS coatings are specially designed to be applied at high solids concentrations. This allows the coating to be deposited faster
than a conventional coating, which improve processing time significantly. Production-scale coating
trials conducted by ISP have demonstrated that spraying Advantia Preferred HS coating suspensions
at up to 25% solids translates into a 43% savings in process time over traditional HPMC-based coating suspensions (Figure 1)
